Find your Book Position

To find out how much of a book you have read, and your position, try these phrases:

First, say:

Alexa, stop.

Now say:

Where am I?

or

Position?

Before saying any navigation command, first say: Alexa, Pause.

To move forward in a book try these phrases.

Say:

Jump forward 30 seconds.

or

Jump forward 5 minutes.

or

Jump forward 2 hours.

or

Advance 1 hour.

To move backward in a book try these phrases.

Say:

Jump back 10 seconds

or

Jump back 20 minutes

or

Jump back 3 hours

or

Rewind 2 hours.

To set a default jump forward or back time, try these phrases:

Say:

Set default jump forward to 5 minutes

or

Set default jump backward to 1 minute.

To find out what length of time the default jump time has been set to.

Tell me the default jump backward time.

Say: What is my default jump time?

or

Say my default jump time.

To move forward or backward using the default jump times, try these phrases:

Say:

Forward.

or

Jump forward.

or

Move forward.

or

Backward.

or

Jump backward.

or

Move backward.

Helpful Tip

You can say any time in seconds, minutes or hours. In Your Pocket may be confused if you combine seconds with minutes or minutes with hours. It is best to say 90 seconds, instead of one minute and 30 seconds.
